As the High Performance Director in the basketball discipline and former High Performance Manager, he has continuously raised the bar for the sport’s standards. Rajeshaver Rao’s dedication to talent identification and development is evident through his role as a member of the Talent Identification and Development Committee for Khelo India. He has also served as the State Coordinator of the West Zone of Khelo India, showcasing his commitment to identifying and nurturing potential talents.

As the Head Coach of various Indian national teams, such as the Sub Junior boys and Youth boys teams, he has demonstrated his ability to guide and mentor young athletes. Notably, he led the Indian Junior Men’s team to a gold medal in the SABA qualifiers, showcasing his exceptional coaching skills. Furthermore, his coaching contributions extend to international platforms, including coaching the Indian Junior Women’s team in the FIBA Asia Basketball Championship in Bangkok, Thailand. He has also coached Indian school teams in prestigious tournaments such as the Asian School Basketball Championship in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and the World School Basketball Championships in countries like Croatia and France.

Rajeshaver Rao’s impact on player development is remarkable. He has produced over 100 international basketball players who have participated in various international tournaments and championships. Additionally, he has nurtured over 1000 national medalist players who have secured gold, silver, and bronze medals in events such as the Open Nationals, School Nationals, and CBSE National Basketball Championships.
