Kalva Radha Rao is an exceptional individual whose contributions to the world of basketball coaching and player performance are truly remarkable. With 10 years of coaching experience, including being a Head Coach for multiple prestigious events, Radha Rao has demonstrated outstanding expertise and dedication in nurturing talent and achieving remarkable results. Radha Rao has been awarded the Delhi Star Award for their work and is also the recipient of the ‘UTKRISHTH KHILADI AWARD’ from the Government of Chhattisgarh.
As a basketball coach, Radha Rao has led the Indian school team to incredible heights, representing the nation in international tournaments such as the Paris World Games, World School Basketball Championship in Croatia, Pacific School Games in Australia, and World School Basketball Championship 3×3 in Serbia. Their leadership has also extended to the Chhattisgarh girls’ basketball team, where they secured a Silver Medal in the Khelo India Youth Games in Indore.

Radha Rao’s coaching prowess is further highlighted by their achievements in various CBSE National Basketball Championships, where they have consistently guided teams to gold medals. They have also coached the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan team and the basketball teams of Yugantar Public School Rajnandgaon and Delhi Public School Rajnandgaon to numerous victories in CBSE National and Cluster championships.
Not only a skilled coach, but Radha Rao is also a seasoned player, having earned a Bronze Medal in the Senior National Championship and participating in various national and school-level tournaments. Their impressive record includes winning gold, silver, and bronze medals in Women’s National Basketball Championships, as well as representing their university in the All India Inter-University Basketball Championships.
In addition to their remarkable achievements, Radha Rao has made significant contributions off the court. They are the founder of Sarvgya Rao Basketball Academy, a group of academies spread across different parts of India. Moreover, their involvement in social work through sports, specifically focusing on empowering tribal girls in Naxal-affected areas, showcases their commitment to using basketball as a means to bring about positive change in communities.
